Relief for widows of power staff

The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) has decided to allow widows of retired employees, whose dues have not been cleared, to retain the official accommodation on normal rent. HT reports.

The process of payment of pension and other benefits to all employees starts on their superannuation.

This was decided in a meeting chaired by UHBVN managing director Arun Kumar with the office-bearers of the All Haryana Power Corporations Workers’ Union here on Thursday.

Besides, the company would provide safety kits to employees engaged through outsourcing policy. However, the company would not give re-employment to retired employees.

Akshay Kumar Jain, UHBVN director (projects), workers' union president Devender Hooda, general secretary Subhash Lamba, deputy general secretary Ramesh Chand and vice-president NV Singh were also present in the meeting.
