Members of the UP Federation Ministerial Services’ Association demanded a probe into the authenticity of the tapes telecast throughout the State by a TV channel. They claimed the axe had fallen on innocent employees, while others with political connections managed to save themselves.

Sankata Prasad Srivastav of the association blamed the TV channel for misleading officials on this issue and said that a conspiracy was hatched by the channel against the employees.

The office-bearers threatened to resort to direct action if the district administration did not order an an inquiry.
