Robbers strike at e-giant?s city godown

IN A sensational incident, a group of armed robbers raided godown of LG Electronics and decamped with electronic gadgets, mobile sets, computer parts other electronic goods and a Santro car worth over Rs 1 crore in Madiaon in the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
The robbers injured three security guards of the godown critically and held over half-a-dozen others hostage before executing the loot. The police, however, ignoring the injuries of the guards and other circumstantial evidence claimed that the incident appeared as concocted following primary investigation. The cops were quizzing the guards.
After the daylight robbery of gold worth Rs 1 crore at Indira Nagar showroom of Khunkhunji Jewellers two years back, it was the second biggest robbery in the city. The incident took place when the staff at the godown located at Keshav Nagar locality was busy in maintaining accounts job late in the night. The accounts job was done on 7, 15 and 29th day of every month at the godown. It was done till late in the night always.
The manager of the godwon Lokendra Bihari Lal and other employees Nitesh Kumar, Saurabh Trivedi, Shivendra Mohan, Amit Sharma, Sanjiv and a driver were engaged in the job in the godown office. Meanwhile, over half-a-dozen miscreants barged into the godown holding the security guards Chhotey Lal, Shyam Kishore and Virendra at gunpoint.
The miscreants had assaulted the guards brutally causing serious injuries. Before the godown staff could have gauged the situation the dacoits threatened all aiming gun at them. The intruders locked the staff and the guards into a cabin after snatching their cellphones and cash.
The miscreants later started collecting the goods including mobile phones, DVD players and computer components. The robbers engaged in the robbery for over half-a-n-hour and loaded the goods in a truck. Before leaving the place they snatched keys of Nitesh Kumar’s car (UP 32 BK-3598). The victims somehow freed themselves later and informed other officials of the company and the control room.
It was around 3.45 a.m when CO Aliganj and the local police rushed the spot. Seriously injured guard Virendra was admitted to hospital. One of the guards Chhoteylal said around 12.30 am, he opened the small door for Dhananjay to exit. But, the miscreants stormed in overpowered him.
