Moon-lit show ...as Roger Waters gears up for his second concert on Indian shoresindia Updated: Dec 28, 2006 13:34 IST
Rejoice, rock fans as the legendary half of Pink Floyd, Roger Waters, will be hitting Indian shores for the second time. It is Delhi’s loss which is Mumbai’s gain, yet again.
The rocker will perform in the metropolis on February 18. Besides India, Australia, China and Dubai will be the other stops for the Dark Side of the Moon tour of the revered song-writer.
The 1973 album Dark Side of The Moon is a certified rock classic with anthemic numbers like Money, Breathe, Time, Us and Them, Brain Damage and of course, there will be other all-time Floyd staples in the concert too. The second concert by this musical genius promises to meet all expectations.
Confirming the February show, a source at DNA Networks, the organisers told HT City that this too will be a concert to remember.
The past two years have generated enough fodder for Floyd fans to thrive on, including the much-talked about one-off Floyd reunion for the Live 8 concert, held in 2005 in the UK, followed by Floydian David Gilmour’s album, On An Island, released this year and never-ending rumours of a reunion tour.
Subir Malik of Parikrama, who had the pleasure of attending their first concert on April 13, 2002, says, “It was a reunion of sorts for all Floyd fans. Floyd concerts are visually stimulating and the biggest draw is the music. Floyd is like religion, one can never get enough of them and we will all be there this time too.”
