Flamboyant batsman Barney Rogers will replace opener Trevor Gripper in the Zimbabwe side to play West Indies for the fourth of five one-day internationals at Harare Sports Club on Saturday.

Rogers scored a flowing half-century against the tourists for Zimbabwe 'A' at Kwekwe nine days ago which secured his place in the squad.

But he has only managed 13 runs in two previous internationals - against Pakistan.

Zimbabwe, who lead the series 2-1 after beating West Indies by 21 runs on Wednesday, need to win just one of the remaining two matches.

Top order batting has been the home team's weakness throughout in recent weeks. Neither Gripper nor his partner Vusi Sibanda has made more than a few runs in the series. But Gripper was the selectors' choice to give way, according to captain Heath Streak.

Rogers will open with Sibanda although this is not his normal position, Streak said.

Zimbabwe: Heath Streak (capt), Vusi Sibanda, Barney Rogers, Mark Vermeulen, Criag Wishart, Stuart Matsikenyere, Tatenda Taibu, Andy Blignaut, Sean Ervine, Ray Price, Gary Brent.

West Indies will not announce their team until just before the start of play.

They will be selected from Brian Lara (capt), Chris Gayle, Wavell Hinds, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Marlon Samuels, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Ricardo Powell, Ridley Jacobs, Carlton Baugh, Vasbert Drakes, Jeremy Taylor (doubtful), Corey Collymore, Mervyn Dillon, Ravi Rampaul.
