Rs 13 cr for irrigation schemes

RS 13 crore has been sanctioned for four irrigation schemes in the State. Those approved include two tank schemes in Mandsaur district, one tank scheme in Khargone district and lift irrigation scheme in Guna district.

RS 13 crore has been sanctioned for four irrigation schemes in the State. Those approved include two tank schemes in Mandsaur district, one tank scheme in Khargone district and lift irrigation scheme in Guna district. The completion of these schemes would create irrigation potential on 1,743-hectare land, said an official release issued here today.

As per the break-up, the Water Resources Department has sanctioned Rs 7.64 crore for the Indragarh Tank Scheme of Bhanpura tehsil in Mandsaur district. The completion of this scheme would create irrigation potential on 976-hectare land annually.

Rs 1.50 crore has been sanctioned for the Dhavla Manohar Tank Scheme of Mandsaur district. It would create irrigation potential on 162-hectare land on completion.

Similarly, a sum of Rs 2.26 crore has been sanctioned for Dehri Lift Irrigation Scheme of Chachoda block in Guna district that would irrigate 429-hectare land annually. Meanwhile, the Ambadad Tank Scheme of Kasravad tehsil in Khargone district as been sanctioned of Rs 1.74 crore. It would help irrigate 180-hectare land after completion, the release added.
