The Corporation also docked a month’s wages of a parking lot attendant and terminated his appointment for dereliction of duty.

In a separate exercise an IMC team led by Market Officer Dilip Singh Chauhan confiscated 30 carts and razed 12 lean-tos erected at Vijay Nagar square.

Seven kiosks located near Mangal City multiplex were also razed during the exercise. The team also removed 11 hoardings from the stretch of road from Rasoma Laboratory to Satya Sai School and seized the material.

The fine on Treasure Island came after a sudden inspection of the IMC-owned parking lot at Dhakkanwala Kuan revealed that only 30 of the 150 cars stationed by mall visitors at the site had paid parking charges.

Chauhan ordered that Rakesh Kumar, an ex-serviceman deployed as an attendant at the parking lot be docked a month’s wages.
