Speaking to reporters in Madurai, the organisation's South Indian president Vanniyarajan and Marimuthu, South Tamil Nadu president said the ruling UPA government at the Centre feared RSS would prove to be a big hurdle in resolving the Kashmir issue "as dictated by Western powers" and hence was spreading such wrong information on the organisation.

They said Congress knew very well that RSS would strongly oppose any move on Kashmir that was against India's interest. The appointment of interlocutors was a first step to seperate Kashmir from India, they alleged and warned they would not allow such a step.

They said Congress for long was in the habit of spreading rumours about RSS whenever it could not solve problems while in power, including corruption, inability to control prices, law and order and the Maoist menace.
