Russell Crowe no role model for kids!
Sesame Street producers reject the star in the children's show over his 'cranky' mannerisms.
Russell Crowe's hot temper, his famed phone throwing incident, and his beer swilling performances with his band have apparently tarnished the Aussie actor's G-rated credentials.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Crowe's offer of taking a stroll down Sesame Street, the children's show in which celebrity guests make their appearance, has been rejected by the show's producers, as they think he is not a very good role model for kids.
"He may not be the best role model for kids," executive producer Carol-Lynne Parente said from New York on Crowe's prospects of joining the children's show's long list of celebrity guests.
"Although I am sure our writers could come up with a nice piece about dealing with emotions, healthy ways to deal with emotions," Parente added.
However, Nicole Kidman, who has two adopted children from her marriage to Tom Cruise, is expected to get the nod.
"We would love to have Nicole Kidman on," said Parente .
Big name stars have appeared on Sesame Street and hung out with the likes of Elmo, Big Bird and the Cookie Monster.
Celebrity presenters in recent years have included Julianne Moore, Norah Jones, Seth Green, Venus Williams, Alicia Keys, Buzz Aldrin and Shirley Jones.
