Russia has jailed 40 immigrants from Bangladesh for illegally entering the country on their way to Europe to look for work, the

The migrants were jailed for 10 to 12 months in the south Siberian region of Kurgan near the border with Kazakhstan following their arrest in September.
Two other people received one-year jail sentences for helping them enter Russia.
