According to SAD (Amritsar) president and former MP Simranjit Singh Mann, the activists will be protesting over Advani's admission in his recently published autobiography that the BJP forced the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for Blue Star Operation and the Dal considers both the Congress and BJP equally responsible for this Operation.
He said the SAD (Amritsar) will contest 10 Lok Sabha seats, out of 13 in Punjab in forth coming Lok Sabha polls.
Though he himself desired to contest either from Sangrur, Bathinda or Anandpur Sahib, but a final decision will be taken by the party.
He said it was most "unfortunate and highly condemnable" the atrocities committed on Christians in Orissa and Karnataka recently and the Centre was responsible over its "failure" to protect the minority community.
