'Sahil delivered the drugs'
The cops are now awaiting the go ahead from Apollo Hospital officials to quiz late Pramod Mahajan's son. Heroin vs cocaine
The man accused of delivering the drugs that almost claimed the life of former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pramod Mahajan's son Rahul but resulted in the death of his aide Vivek Moitra has confessed to the crime, police said on Sunday.

"Sahil Zarru has told police he was present at Mahajan's residence (on Thursday) and had brought drugs for consumption by Rahul and Moitra," additional deputy commissioner of police Manish Agarwal told reporters after Sahil was remanded to police custody till June 12 by a Delhi court.
Rahul is recovering in the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital where he and Moitra were brought after a late (Thursday) night party at the 7 Safdarjung Road bungalow allotted to the senior Mahajan. Moitra was declared "brought dead on arrival".
The hospital had initially said there were no traces of drugs in Rahul's blood, even as a private lab report found traces of cocaine in his urine sample.
Sahil who was brought here from Srinagar on Sunday afternoon was booked by Delhi Police on charges of consuming as well as providing drugs to Rahul and Moitra.
The police are now awaiting the go ahead from Indraprastha Apollo Hospital authorities to question Rahul who is still in the intensive care unit.
"The questioning could not take place because the doctors declared him unfit," Agarwal informed.
"We have received reports that Rahul has started talking and eating but the doctors have not given us permission so far to speak to him."
"We received a letter from the hospital at 11.25 a.m. in which they declared him unfit for questioning."
"The questioning will take place as and when we get permission from the doctors. The doctors have not given us any time frame as to when we would be able to speak to him," said Agarwal.
He said Sahil would also be taken to Mumbai and Srinagar for further investigations in the case.
"We have booked him under Sections 21, 27 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The four youths - - who were present at the Thursday night party at Mahajan's residence - belong to affluent families and have pleaded innocence.
Mumbai-based Sahil was arrested from Srinagar on Saturday evening by police from the studio of "AajTak" where he was telling a stunned TV audience: "I am myself a victim."
The other three have also told police that drugs were consumed at Mahajan's residence.
Meanwhile, in an attempt to find the drug peddler who had supplied drugs to Sahil, police have detained nine Nigerian nationals, including Abdullah who had allegedly supplied drugs to Sahil. Raids were also carried out in several parts of the city and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh.
In the fast pace developments during the day, traces of cocaine were found in the urine samples of Rahul.
A private lab found traces of cocaine and sedatives Benzodiazipine and Cannabinoids in his urine sample. The Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, where Rahul is admitted, had sent the urine sample to Dr. Lal Path Labs after the tests at the hospital had shown absence of any such substance.
"We are not giving a clean chit to any one. We had conducted a test in our lab but there was no trace of cocaine or Ecstasy found in the urine sample. However, negligible traces of cocaine have been found from the sample that was given to the Dr. Lal Path Lab," said Anupam Sibal, medical director of Indraprastha Apollo Hospital.
"We are not going to conduct any further toxic screen to determine the availability of any known drug," he added.
Meanwhile, thirteen women were arrested from Hotel Rajdoot in Nizamuddin in south Delhi along with the owner Babu Kalra by a team of crime branch after a raid was conducted on the hotel as part of investigation in this case, police sources said.
"The team was told that these girls are bar dancers. Police are questioning them," a senior police official who was present during the raid said, adding they may have nothing whatsoever to do with the Mahajan case.
But their arrest, while police were on the narcotic trail, added a new dimension to the unravelling plot that has the nation agog with suspense and vicarious thrill.
