He allegedly sold a consignment worth R12 lakh to a Sushant Lok-based firm and gave his employer a post-dated cheque. Since Sarita Devi, the employer, had full faith in him, she accepted the cheque. However, the cheque got dishonoured later.

“The employer’s efforts to contact Parvez failed as he had switched off his mobile. When the cheque was presented to the bank, it was found that the cheque was fake,” said Sajjan Kumar, SHO, the Sector 5 police station. “We have launched a manhunt and are confident that he would be arrested soon,” he added.

Realtor murder: weapon recovered

The police have recovered an imported .38 bore pistol from two persons accused of killing a property dealer.

Meanwhile, a local court has sent the duo to 14-day judicial custody after two days of police remand. Manjeet Kataria, the property dealer, was killed on December 23, at Sheetla Enclave. After he was shot, the duo admitted him to a nearby hospital and fled. Kataria died during treatment. However, the accused claimed that the firing was accidental. The pistol had gone off while they were toying with it. According to the police, two live cartridges were also recovered from them.
