Perhaps the original bad boy of Bollywood is ready and willing to mend his ways. Apparently Salman Khan is set to move out of his comfort zone, for the actor is all set to play a middle-class, middle-aged widower and father of two in Mahesh Manjrekar’s upcoming directorial venture.
Salman, who is famous for his macho-guy image, is all set to shock his fans with his family man avatar in Ready, Manjrekar’s Hindi adaptation of super-hit Marathi flick Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho.
News has it that Salman will be piling on kilos as per the requirement of the role. On the other hand, Manjrekar will reportedly be playing Salman’s father in the much-awaited flick.
Manjrekar`s film is about an adolescent, who loves to play cricket rather than studying, something which Salman immediately liked.
Talking to a news daily, a source said, "Like the boy in Manjrekar`s film, Salman shared a volatile relationship with his father Salim Khan. He has also spoken of the way he was beaten as a child, and his hatred of formal education."
