Sapera gang member commits suicide
THE BODY of a man was found hanging by a tree on Golbaba hillock at Nazeerabad on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Om Prakash alias Kanha, 28, a member of the Parvat Sapera gang. Sapera had been killed in an encounter in Berasia recently. It is not known what prompted Om Prakash to commit the suicide.

He also belonged to a de-notified tribe. Several warrants were pending against him in Lateri (Vidisha). He was involved in criminal cases and wanted by police. A man, who had gone to collect firewood, spotted the body in the morning.
Sources said Om Prakash had been made an outcast in his village. The police began investigations. In a separate incident, an unidentified man was found dead in Bazaria. Police said that deceased was around 60. He was found dead near Nehru Colony. The body has been sent for post-mortem and the investigations are on.
The police also arrested a youth and recovered a pistol from him. The accused, Govind Bargian, resident of Bagh Sewania, was caught and a pistol of Chinese make was seized. He has been booked under the Arms Act.
