DAUGHTER OF a manager in State Bank of India’s zonal office here committed suicide by consuming poison after failing in her intermediate examinations on Tuesday. In her suicide note, Juhi, 18, has written, “I am sorry that I failed.”

The intermediate results were declared on Sunday. Though the family members reportedly told her to forget the result and prepare afresh, a distraught Juhi committed suicide when the family members were away.

Her father Anil Kumar said Juhi had prepared hard for her exams. He said his daughter had failed to clear the exams by eight marks. On Tuesday, the family members had gone to the market. On their return, they found Juhi unconscious. She was rushed to a private nursing home where the doctors declared her dead.
