A Bench headed by Justice KG Balakrishnan posted the matter to the first week of June.

Bedi's counsel KPS Tulsi challenged the denial of bail by Madhya Pradesh High Court and the Andhra Pradesh High Court contending that she had served two years sentence and was in prison for three years in Lisbon for travelling to Portugal on a fake passport.

He said that the accused cannot be tried and punished twice for the same offence.
