SC issues notices to Bihar home secretary

The Supreme Court has issued notices to Bihar Home Secretary and IG (Prisons) taking suo moto notice of Pappu Yadav who is in judicial custody.

The Supreme Court on Friday issued notices to Bihar Home Secretary and IG (Prisons) taking suo moto notice of Pappu Yadav alias Rajesh Ranjan, who is in judicial custody in connection with Ajit Sarkar murder case, roaming around in Madhepura constituency.

The Court asked these authorities to respond as to how the person who was in judicial custody could roam around in a constituency so freely.
