The eZ Pay card will be issued to all the aspiring sportsperson who clear the Sports and Physical Aptitude Test (SPAT).

The step has been taken to bring transparency in the distribution of scholarships to the sportsperson.

The Department of Sports and Youth Affairs has been asked to distribute the cards to all the eligible candidates.

Officials the department said that they have also been directed to organise awareness camps at the branches of Sate Bank of India to make the sportspersons aware of the new system.

Those who have cleared the the Sports and Physical Aptitude Test exam will have to provide a residential proof to obtain the card.
