School driver and conductor arrested for harassing girls

POLICE HAVE arrested the driver and conductor of a City school and booked them under Section 354 of IPC for sexually harassing girl students. The police are on the look out for an ayah, who was allegedly an accomplice in the case.

Parents of over a dozen students of Vaishnav School (Rajmohalla) had alleged that the driver, conductor and an ayah of the school had been misbehaving with and sexually harassing girls of the school when they boarded or alighted from the bus.

The parents alleged that they had complained to the school management on a number of occasions, but rather than taking action the school management had brushed the matter under the carpet, as they thought that it would give the school a bad name.

The harassment had been going on for quite some time and it occurred once again a couple of days back, which galvanised the parents to approach the police.

CSP Dhananjay Shah said that on hearing the complaint, he got the matter investigated and the action followed.
