The tenth standard girl had made a call on Monday afternoon, her second one, saying a bomb had been placed inside the premises of Anjuman-e-Islam school in suburban Kurla.

"The motive behind it was getting a holiday whenever she did not do her school homework," Deputy Commissioner of Police DM Phadtare said.

At least five bomb hoax incidents have been reported from the same school in the recent past.

"The girl used to dial up on the police hotline number `100' and warn about a bomb threat. We traced her location and detained her," he added.

She is yet to be arrested and action will be taken against her under Section 507 of the IPC (criminal intimidation by anonymous communication).
