Scorpene deal: Verma trying to cover up issue

It also asked the government to come clean on the issue of the Scorpene deal and "war room leakage".

BJP on Saturday said businessman Abhishek Verma's threat to file a defamation suit against LK Advani and other leaders was the "worst type of cover up attempt".

The saffron party demanded suspension of the Scorpene submarine deal.

It also asked the government to come clean on the issue of the Scorpene deal and "war room leakage".

BJP is demanding a probe against Verma and Naval chief Admiral Arun Prakash's close relative Ravi Shankaran in connection with the two cases.

"It is an irony that Verma is threatening to sue LK Advani, Jaswant Singh and George Fernandes for defamation. This is the worst type of cover up attempt," BJP spokesman Prakash Javedkar told reporters.
