Sealing drive: SC to hear MCD plea on Monday

The apex court will hear the plea to defer the drive in Delhi in view of the prevailing law and order situation.

The Supreme Court will hear on Monday the plea by Municipal Corporation of Delhi seeking to defer for sometime the sealing drive in the national capital in view of the prevailing law and order situation.

An oral plea was made by MCD counsel Sanjiv Sen in this regard before a Bench headed by Justice KG Balakrishnan, which said that it will be heard on November 6 along with the applications filed by the Centre and the civic body on Thursday.

The MCD counsel said during the mentioning hour that the corporation needed certain urgent additional directions other than what have been sought on the application filed by it earlier.
