Nandgaonkar, who is contesting Lok Sabha poll as nominee of the Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), submitted his resignation, addressed to Speaker Babasaheb Kupekar, at Vidhan Bhawan in Mumbai.

Since formation of MNS in 2006, Nandgaonkar had pitched his lot with Raj but was ‘technically´ a Sena legislator.
