Senior RBI official commits suicide

A senior official with the RBI allegedly committed suicide by jumping from his office building in the business district of Bandra Kurla Complex.

A senior official with the Reserve Bank of India allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday by jumping from his office building in the business district of Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), police said.

Sushad Patnaik, a deputy general manager in the RBI, reportedly ended his life by jumping from eighth floor of the bank's office building in BKC, they said.

Patnaik died on the spot.

Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
