Seven killed in road accident
Seven persons were killed and five others injured in a road accident on Nagar-Solapur road near Ahmednagar, police said today.

Seven persons were killed and five others injured in a road accident on Nagar-Solapur road near Ahmednagar, police said on Saturday.
The mishap took place on Friday when the jeep in which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck near Banpimpri, 38 kms from Ahmednagar, they said.
The victims, hailing from Karnataka, were on their way to Shirdi when the collision occured, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Prahlad Koli (45) Prabhakar Hoshetti (22), Rajiv Kadri (35), Rajkumar Biradar (25), Bhima Kagar (50), Govinda Shind (35) and Namdev Kagar (60), police said.
The injured including the truck driver have been admitted to a civil hospital, they said.
Guardian minister Babanrao Pachpute visited the injured in the hospital.
