Justice Navin Sinha directed the hearing in the case after two weeks on the request of Shahabuddin's counsel YV Giri.

During the raid at Shahabuddin's ancestral house at Pratappur on April 24 last year, the police recovered "unaccounted" foreign currencies including dollars, dirhams and riyals.

A separate FIR was lodged against the MP in connection with the seizure of foreign currencies.
