Justice Mridula Mishra also asked to present on Jaunuary 5 the details of the trial in the case.

A case under the Arms Act was filed against Shahabuddin with the Hussainganj police station after recovery of firearms during raid at his Pratappur residence on April 24, 2005.

While YV Giri, representing Shahabuddin in the case, pleaded for granting bail to his client, government advocate Shyameshwar Dayal opposed it.

After returning from AIIMS, where he had an operation for his spinal problem, Shahabuddin is at present held at Siwan divisional jail.
