“The principal judge of the session court assigned the case to the fast track court,” said public prosecutor R V Kini.

“Trial will only begin after the court decides on the bail application that he has moved afresh.”

Ahuja, is presently lodged in Arthur road jail for allegedly raping his 20-year-old maid at his Oshiwara residence on June 14. The bail plea of Ahuja is likely to come up on Friday before the fast track court.

Shiney is in custody from the date he was arrested as the sessions court recently rejected his bail application. The police had recently filed a 109-page chargesheet against him.
