Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the festival at Shivpuri’s Polo Grounds on February 4. Minister for Tourism, Sports and Youth Affairs Yashodhara Raje Scindia will preside over the function. Four internationally acclaimed artistes of India would perform at the festival with Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi exponent Malavika Sarukkai and Sitar player Shahid Parvez performing on the first day.
Whereas, Khayal singers Rajan and Sajan Mishra and flute exponent Pt Hariprasad Chourasia would perform on the next day. Shivpuri, which used to be the summer capital of the Scindia rulers of Gwalior is also known for Madhav National Park, Madhav Vilas Palace, George Castle, Sakhya Sagar Lake and several other spots of tourist attraction.
