The District and Session’s Court of Shopian rejected their bail application on Thursday.
The four police suspended officers SP Javed Iqbal Mattoo, DSP Rohit Baskotra, Station House Officer Shafiq Ahmad and Sub Inspector Gazi Abdul Karim have been in judicial custody since July 30.
‘Custody’ death People took to streets of Srinagar on Thursday over an alleged custody death. Police said Mehraj-ud-din Sheikh was found heavily drunk outside his house on Wednesday night and was taken to a hospital where he died. Sheikh’s relatives alleged he was taken into police custody and beaten to death.
