Engineering major Siemens Ltd said on Wednesday that it has acquired the isolator business of Hyderabad-based Elpro International Ltd for Rs 25 crore.
The newly acquired business would be integrated with Siemens' power transmission and distribution business and the 108 Elpro employees, comprising officers as well as workers would be part of Siemens Ltd, the company said.

"This new business will enable us to close the gap in our PTD division and further strengthen our position in the growing power sector," Siemens managing director J Schubert said.
Siemens' PTD division provides products, systems and solutions for power system control and energy management.
