Silverstone has won the hosting rights for the 2010 British Moto GP from Donington Park, after losing the annual Formula One race to its rival.

The circuit's owners hope that a thrilling race on challenging track will persuade the sport's governing body to keep the race there for five years.
"The grand prix circuit offers a combination of high-speed straights and technical corners, presenting a real challenge to the riders, while the facilities for teams and spectators are second to none," said Richard Phillips, managing director of Silverstone Circuits Ltd.
After hosting every F1 British GP since 1987, Silverstone will also stage it in 2009 before Donington takes over.
