Single-window facility for senior citizens

HERE IS good news for senior citizens and freedom fighters. Respecting their age, the transport department has decided to provide single-window services to them through a special counter. The special counter will open at the Regional Transport Office (RTO) on Kanpur Road every Saturday.

Respecting their age, the transport department has decided to provide single-window services to them through a special counter. The special counter will open at the Regional Transport Office (RTO) on Kanpur Road every Saturday.

This will start functioning from the coming Saturday itself. As per the decision, one regional inspector and one clerk will always be present at the special counter to help senior citizens and the freedom fighters. All the work with regard to vehicle registration, driving license, transfer of a vehicle and the like will be done at the special counter.

Regional Transport Officer (RTO) AK Pandey said senior citizens and the freedom fighters would not require to do the rounds of various counters as all the work would be by the special counter only.
