Chief Minister's secretariat sources confirmed the telephonic conversation but did not divulge what transpired between the two leaders.
Banerjee ended her fast late on Thursday night at the request of President APJ Abdul Kalam, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee "in the hope of getting justice" for her demands to protect interests of farmers affected by the Tata Motors small car project at Singur.
