Six killed, 15 fall ill after consuming spurious liquor in Haryana

Six persons were killed, 15 fell ill and the eyesight of 10 persons was affected after they consumed liquor from an unauthorised liquor vend in Malai village in this district on Thursday night, police said on Friday.
Two persons, including a liquor contractor, have been arrested, they said adding that five teams have been constituted to nab six other persons involved in the incident.
A case has been registered against eight persons in connection with the incident, police said.
While five persons died on Thursday, the sixth died at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Science (PGIMS) at Rohtak on Friday morning, they said.
Four persons were undergoing treatment at PGIMS and 11 others have been discharged after improvement in their condition.
Ten persons, whose eyesight was badly affected after consuming the spurious liquor, are undergoing treatment at various hospitals.
