Penury drove six members of a family, including four children, to suicide in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh on Thursday.
Bablu (34), wife Neelu (32) sons Mudit (10) and Kallu (4) and daughters Toshu (6) and Mugli (8) died soon after consuming some poisonous substance, police said.
Sub Divisional Magistrate Surendra Kumar Verma said the family was facing acute financial crunch.
