Police have arrested the wife of a slain district commander of Lashker-e-Tayyaba (LeT) in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, official sources said on Sunday.

Acting on a tip off, police raided a house in Tanta area in the district and arrested Shakeela Begum, wife of slain district commander of LeT, Hak Nawaz, they told PTI.

After her militant husband was killed in February this year, she was absconding and stayed with other commanders of LeT.

Begum was actively involved in the outfit's operation in Doda district, they said, adding that she has been sent to Joint Interrogation Centre.
