Sonia hits out at BJP-Shiv Sena alliance

Congress chief criticised BJP-Shiv Sena alliance in M'rashtra saying they were destroying traditions by trying to divide society.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Monday hit out at the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance in Maharashtra saying they were destroying their traditions by indulging in breaking the society.

"Our tradition is to unite people and accept others but they (Shiv Sena-BJP) were trying to break the society", she told an election rally here.

"Truth is almost uppermost in our values and culture but the Opposition is engaged in spreading lies and making false promises," Sonia said addressing her last election meeting for the October 13 assembly polls in the state.
