Speacial passes for freedom fighters, senior citizens: Laloo

After assuming charge as Railway Minister, Laloo announced special passes for freedom fighters, accredited journalists and senior citizens.

Soon after assuming charge as the Railway Minister, Laloo Prasad Yadav on Monday announced special passes for freedom fighters, accredited journalists and senior citizens to travel across the country.

"Freedom fighters, accredited journalists and senior citizens would be provided special passenger passes to travel across the country", Yadav said.

Asked to clarify as who were the mediapersons to be given these passes, Yadav said all the accredited journalists from electronic and print media would be given passes as they were his 'Intelligence Bureau'. "I don't need IB," he said.

Yadav jokingly said, "One day I will become Prime Minister and then give away IB."

"Right now we will strengthen this Government and after five years, approach people to vote for us on the basis of our performance," he said.
