Special geriatric clinics in all Haryana hospitals today

Haryana health department would organise special free geriatric clinics at all district hospitals to mark the International Day of Older Persons on October 1, state health minister Rao Narender Singh said in a release on Monday.

Teams of physicians, ophthalmologists, ENT specialists, orthopaedicians, surgeons, gynaecologists and dental surgeons would examine elderly people at the clinics, he added.

Separate registration counters would be set up for free health check-up, and laboratory investigations, medicines and spectacles would be provided free of charge to below poverty line patients, the release said.
