The actor was speaking at 'Davat-e-Sehri', a function organised by Mumbai Congress President Kripashankar Singh in the early hours of Sunday, prior to the fast observed during 'Roza'.

"The fact that Singh has been organising a 'Davat-e-Sehri' proved that Islam and Hinduism preach brotherhood and peace," he said.

"Ramzan is a holy month and God answers our special prayers during this period. The 27th day of Roza is a day of piety," Shah Rukh said.

The actor said he was not able to observe Roza for the entire month of Ramzan.

"I could manage only seven days. It was not possible due to my erratic work schedule," Shah Rukh said.
