SRK's guard dies in firing by colleague

A private security guard, posted at Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan's residence, succumbed to bullet injuries, he sustained when a fellow security man accidentally opened fire at him late on Monday night, police said.

Employed with TOP security agency, Chandra Pratap Singh on duty on Monday night was injured, when Hitendra Singh accidentally fired at him with an imported firearm at `Mannat', Khan's bungalow in suburban Bandra.

Chandra Pratap died in the hospital before admission, TOP security sources said.

Hitendra has been arrested and the firearm seized, police said.

Senior police officials, quoting eyewitnesses, said the two were posted near the entrance of the bungalow and were handling the weapon when the firing occurred.
