State govt plans to centralise Education department offices
DECKS HAVE cleared for much awaited construction of buildings housing nearly half a dozen education department offices at one place in the city. The State Government in its order dated 1392/8-4-2006-156N/2005, August 19, 2006 stated that nazul one acre 1274 square metre plot number 22 at Muir Road has been allotted free of cost to the education department for building purpose .

The State Government in its order dated 1392/8-4-2006-156N/2005, August 19, 2006 stated that nazul one acre 1274 square metre plot number 22 at Muir Road has been allotted free of cost to the education department for building purpose .
It may be mentioned that Dr Yagaya Dutt Sharma, MLC, had brought an adjournment motion in the State Legislative Council demanding the then disputed land for construction of education department offices four months back.
Shiv Janam Chaudhry, Under Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ministry in a letter to Dr Sharma stated that the said nazul land was given for construction of office building free of cost. KL Meena secretary UP Government in a letter to district magistrate dated August 22 , 2006 said that land would be used for construction of offices of District Inspector of School I, II, Deputy Director Education Madhymik and Inspector Sanskrit Pathshala . Besides, the land shall not be transferred to any party in any case.
Welcoming the decision of making available the required land, Dr Sharma said that long pending problem of land for permanent offices of several education department offices has now been resolved.
