NSS programme on communal harmony: National Service Scheme (NSS) unit-1 and unit-2 of Ewing Christian College (ECC) orgnised a sapling plantation programme under the ongoing ‘Van Mahotsav’ here on August 30. A seminar on ‘Role of Trees in Checking Ecological Imbalance’ was held on the occasion. Other scheduled programmes are: a communal harmony rally on September 2, debate on ‘Compulsion of Vande Mataram and communal harmony’ on September 3 and a debate on politicians responsible for disturbing communal harmony on September 4. Essay competition on ‘Communal and Politics’ will be organised on September 1 besides slogan and poster competition on communal harmony.
AU notice: AU proctor Prrof Jata Shankar gave the last warning to the students to park their vehicles at the vehicle stand. The vehicles found parked in front of the varsity’s main gates will be seized and will be returned only on depositing the fine.
AU correspondence institute: Director, Institute of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education (ICCCE), PK Sahu informed all students who had submitted forms for admission into BA-I session 2006-07 and not deposited the fee, must contact the ICCCE public relation officer immediately.
