Students take oath to work for nation

CARMEL CONVENT S S School, Ratanpur celebrated Vande Mataram Centenary along with Teachers Day on September 7. The programme began with lighting of the lamp followed by an impressive and thought provoking prayer service by Class VIII C in which a skit portrayed the role of teachers in moulding the character of a child.

Ramp show, musical chairs and ‘laughter challenge show’ were thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed by all.

Vande Mataram evoked a fervour of patriotism and students took an oath to work for the unity and integrity of the nation. Principal Sr Pavithra stressed, “A good teacher should be a role model. By giving motherly affection she should inculcate various values in the students character.”

Students’ zeal was noteworthy as they wished their teachers with great respect and love. Vibrant dances and enchanting band performances were the other highlights. Mother Teresa’s death anniversary was also observed.

Nalanda Public H S School: The National Song Vande Mataram was sung by all students and staff members of Nalanda Public School on Thursday at 11 am.

Bonnie Foi H S School: Vande Mataram was sung by students of school under the guidance of school vice-principal Uma Sai to mark the national song centenary. Their participation in singing the song reiterated their feelings towards nation.
