Rebel Trinamool Congress leader Sudip Bandopadhyay, while filing his nomination papers for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls as an independent candidate backed by Congress, declared his assets in his mandatory affidavit which stood at Rs 35.61 lakh approximately.

Bank Balance, Property & Investments Bank deposits of Rs 6.62 lakh, cash of Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 30,451 in an account in the Standard Chartered Bank; an Indica V2 car and LIC policy of Rs 3 lakh in his name. His spouse Nayana Bandyopadhyay, a Nationalist Trinamool Congress MLA, holds bank deposits of Rs 1.74 lakh, Rs 1.14 lakh and Rs 90,081, besides cash of Rs 1.1 lakh, a Maruti 800 car and a LIC policy of Rs 1 lakh; owns two landed properties. Bandyopadhyay also declared 200 gms of gold jewellery in his wife's name.
