Sushma Asthana not named in CBI chargesheet

The CBI has also recommended her immediate release.

"We have not charge-sheeted her but it is up to the court to grant her bail or not," said CBI public prosecutor Suresh Batra. "Since she has not been charge-sheeted in the case, her custody is illegal now," said R.C. Saxena, Asthana's lawyer. "We have been awaiting her release from the jail. She is not involved in the PF scam," said Akshay Asthana, Sushma’s teenaged son.
