“Swaraj is recovering from pneumonia and her condition is stable. Her health condition is being monitored by a team of specialists and she is likely to be discharged soon,” said a senior doctor at AIIMS.

The doctor said it is likely that she contracted the infection due to extreme temperatures during her travels.

The 64-year-old minister was admitted to AIIMS on April 25 after she complained of chest congestion and fever. She is undergoing treatment in the Cardio-Neuro Centre of the hospital.
