Suzuki Powertrain, which manufactures diesel engines for Maruti cars, axed union president Sube Singh Yadav, secretary Mukesh Kumar and executive member Vivek Lakehra for their alleged anti-organisational activities during the strike at the Maruti Suzuki plant last year.

During the strike, Suzuki Powertrain workers had extended support to their Maruti counterparts. The three leaders were suspended in October itself.

According to an internal inquiry by Powertrain, the leaders had instigated labour unrest.
